Still haven't found a speck on my D600 and it's around 2500 pix.Found some specks yesterday and checked with a microscope to confirm.
Took it into the dealer and it is going in to Nikon Canada for a shutter replacement and a warranty claim on the battery which is at 4 condition with 2702 activations.
He is also going to work out a price for a trade of the repaired D600 on a D800E.
