 Apple has decided to consolidate Aperture and iPhoto into a new app called Photos.
It will be free in Yosemite OSX10.10.x
The news is not good in the short term but does promise to keep Adobe on their toes and also provides a free DAM and image editor. This wont happen until 2015.
