I agree Eric. Sometimes we over engineer.

The Fuji X-Trans cameras have shown (to me at least) that APS-C at 16MP is definitely better than a D3 with 12.3MP and almost but not quite as good as good as a D600 with 24MP.
If Fuji launch a 24MP APS-C camera wit X-Trans sensor at Photokina 2014 then this will be a game changer.
Then Nikon D810 at 36MP will be the better than a 24MP APS-C Fuji..
I know from my use of the D800 that I dont need FX at 36MP as 24MP at FX is good enough for me.

This will then put me in a position where I only need to prove to myself that the Fuji has AF performance that is OK for action and wildlife photography and I will release all my Nikon kit.
