Indeed, one forgets the grim reality of those days when remembering past events.

My early reading was almost exclusively related to the wartime bomber command books. 'Cheshire VC.', 'Enemy Coast Ahead', by Guy Gibson, and many others. So I find these aircraft fascinating.

Unfortunately I didn't get to see them on this occasion, a case of spreading myself too thin and not being able to be in multiple places at the same time...
