I agree on translucency - I turned that off immediately :-)

iCloud doesn't require me to log in with my Apple ID, it requires that auto login to the mac itself be turned off (or I missed something). Do you use Auto Login on your mac?

I leave my macs on auto login except when traveling and don't find iCloud compelling enough to change that behavior :-)

Seems like Apple is going over the top on required users security (better than under doing it but they are now in the stage of over-reaching and creating a nanny operation...IMNSHO)

I have about 9 months to go on my DropBox subscription and I am in no hurry to test iCloud with important files... I will probably move to it eventually, but DropBox has been bullet proof (as has Copy ) so I want to be sure there are no growing pains with a new service like this.
