First impressions are favourable. The auto focus is fast and quite good in low light.
Most shots are as good in live view as can be manually focused with the magnifier.
I use the AF-L to focus so that it is easy to over ride with manual.
My Kenko 1.5x @900mm and Nikon 2.0x @ 1200 TCs give a poorer image than a cropped 600mm shot. More redundant kit ;~(
