Err, could you explain that please JK?
Am I right in guessing that the exposure is set to just not blow the highlights and compress the rest of the dynamic range of the image into the remaining dynamic range of the sensor, or does it under expose the dark end...
I ask because highlights ares sometimes several stops too bright and result in over exposure and to expose correctly for them would mean most of the rest of the image is black.
