I think the option 'personal hotspot' is not visible in the main settings menu until you have visited settings>general>network>personal hotspot and selected 'on' After this it will remain available as the 3rd option under 'settings, regardless of its on/off status I recommend installing something like quota to track your usage and check how much you will get charged if you go over your quota I got charged $100 for going 500mb over my 500mb quota (refunded because I had already requested a 2000mb data bolt on for $10/month) A client of mine got charged $25000 for using a few hundred megabytes when overseas thanks to a helpful Telstra employee (young lad in a telstra shop) telling him it shouldn't be too expensive to use roaming (I think the question related to calls and the victim didn't understand the difference/option of data roaming which was switched on Telstra kindly reduced it to $2500, after he complained It's a shame he wasn't already a client at the time this happened since I would have made sure he was able to remain connected at a very low cost using Skype/free wifi Last edited on Sat Apr 28th, 2012 23:17 by Doug ____________________ Recent & Popular posts ProCapture | Genius on Demand Blog |
