Well the reason I have Lr3 installed is that it's Michaels own licenced copy but I guess it could be installed on his own comp now.
The video issue seems related to heat, it may be that the inside is affected by dust. I have been doing re-construction work in my bedroom and everything is rather dusty.
I am now running a temperature monitor to see what's happening in there while I do some more face recognition.
You can get inside the Mac Mini ancd gently dust with a clean paintbrush then hoover out.
