 I agree with the idea that the D7200 does not equate in body terms to the D300 even allowing for the sensor and other internals.

My D300 is a very nice camera the D7200 feels different and lacks the 10pin connector.
Nikon really dont understand that the 10pin connector is a well understood connector that provides many different connection options both future, current and legacy. The USB-like connector they provide now for non-professional cameras is just that non-professional and not highly durable.
