The Avocets have left our local Titchfied Haven 4 weeks ago so today I followed them to Poole Harbour they are up to 2000 overwinter here. They were asleep waiting for tide to go out exposing the vast feeding area of mud flats. At last they took off and gave me a fine flying display and this is one of 25 shots I got.
