Years ago, when I was an apprentice we were building a bungalow in a wood, the hut were we had our dinner was surrounded by wild garlic which stunk, we call it 'Dog Ramps' in these parts.

Anyway we had some sodium chlorate which we used as a weed killer at home so I took some to work to kill the Dog Ramps, unfortunately they thrived on it and grew twice as fast! In fact, in the end we though it must have been fertiliser I put on them, I wasn't popular...
