The image quality is superior to Lightroom in my opinion.
I use Lightroom as my DAM but I am moving towards MediaPro. It is not as nice as LR but doesnt have all the issues I have with Adobe software and their subscription model.
There is now a book for Capture One Pro that explains it very well.
