I ONLY have older lenses LOL! The D200 is a dream for the non CPU lenses, you can dial in the lens characteristics and good to go. That said it would be better to fit a CPU chip if possible, because then it set's the camera up by simply mounting the lens, you don't have to remember to set it. My most used lens is probably my 55mm f2.8 Micro which is MF and not chipped. I'm sorry, I have been busy last few days, I did glance at this thread but took it to be referring to the newer longer zooms. I have no experience of this lens.
