One suggestion for landscapes and artistic wides is the Sigma 10-20mm which for a DX camera is almost essential, although I found that 11 or 12mm was the widest I wanted to go in most cases, else you get strange effect and funny skies. DEFINITELY not for portraits! Unless you want a bonk on the nose... This was the least worst picture of my racing driver buddy Sid (He still hasn't seen it!) Taken from less than a foot from his nose, pretty close anyway. Sid at Three Sisters circuit 2011 D200, Sigma 10-20mm @ 10mm
