I would be considering the 200-500 in your position, indeed I would quite like one myself.

If you bought the lens by mail order you can return it within 14 days without giving any reason, they have to give a full refund. If it isn't up to standard that is obviously a good reason to do so. I would be considering the 200-500 in your position, indeed I would quite like one myself.
