Well on the 'old fashioned' D3 I set up the bracketing parameters, then I set the film winder to high (or medium) speed and press and hold the shutter release... it stops when it's finished. No real problem.The F5 did that, I used it Yosemite not saying how long ago though.
Even the D200 did that, as best I recall.
