Had you not considered updating the firmware on the D500 to accept the CF express cards... Not 100% up on the tech, just posting on the hoof from memory, I posted a link about it a while back... http://nikondslr.uk/view_topic.php?id=1516&forum_id=5 The Z's are said to be upgradable to take these alternative cards too.
