Capture NX-D in its latest version is good, not quite as good as NX 2 because, for some strange reason, some of the image tools have moved from the tool bar/menus to the Edit pane on the right hand side. This leaves the Grey point and Colour Control points in the tool bar and the sharpening and curves in the Edit pane. Aside from the Black and White control points it is all there.

Once you realise where to find things NX-D is a very usable editor. I would describe it as a bit like using the latest version of Office after getting used to the earlier versions, you get there in the end. Of course full compatibility with Mac OS High Sierra is a bonus (it works with Mojave but Nikon haven't confirmed that yet)
