I think the MBA disk clone would be an easier option.

Yes, MBA, of course. I think that might do it, you could try by launching the MBA in 'Target drive' mode, Hold down the "T" key while booting the MBA and hook the two together with a firewire lead. If you select the MBA as start up drive that might do the trick.

That said, the DOS Dude hack might be needed and I don't know how that would fit in.

You could always go subscription mode with the Adobe software... Or get a 4.1 or 5.1?
