I was same, that's why I bought the 4.1 which is firmware upgradable, I understand it electrically and physically identical to a 5.1.

I paid £500 for a basic spec 4.1 and upgraded the processors, memory, video card and drives, I slung out the two CD/DVD drives and replaced them with SSD's.
