The lens covers touted are also neoprene and porous. You need to then spray them with MR Sheen or similar funiture polish if you want them to be water resistant.According to the Lens Coat web site they are waterproof, a wetsuit isn't waterproof. LensCoat
I find a plastic bag is also good.
