Same here Jeff, I added *some* things because I have some crystal clear memories from when I was about three onwards, but only of certain moments, the rest has been consigned to the bin. Likewise I can put something down and two minutes later I can't even remember WHAT I put down, let alone WHERE! I can tell you the thread, the spanner size of a multitude of fasteners on a range of cars and machines I have owned and maintained. All the Lucas colour codes for car wiring and what circuits they denote. Stuff like that sticks, even though I haven't needed them in recent years, they are etched in my memory, yet day to day stuff... Forget it!
