It's not really the sort of lens you can just delve into without a lot of experience of what you are doing.

A sad story Novicus, was the lens bought on eBay? If so you should have some means to return the lens and get your money back? It's not really the sort of lens you can just delve into without a lot of experience of what you are doing.
