J K : That lens was it on UK you purchased?
I was looking for 14-24mm f2.8AFS so I could use on my Z7 with ZFX adapter and saw a similar lens that was jammed at 16mm. I think this lens is susceptible to physical damage as it is heavy awkward to change rapidly.
I eventually found one in good condition optically that was also ok cosmetically but not like new!
The Danish equivalent of Ebay ( owned by them ),..I bought it here in Danmark...
Robert Congrats with that D800 , so that D3 is not the " last Dslr " after all then..
and as You suggested I will get in contact with the Vendor, He did Write that the Lens was a little hard to turn ??..Yet it takes Very Sharp pics., ...Ha, the thing does NOT focus at all !!Eric Thank You for the link, I will contact them to see if it`s Feasible to fix the D2Xs,.. I was Aware that the D2 series have Issues , notably Shutter Issues , yet I was Confident that All bugs had been Ironed Out with the S models ,..aparently not, ..so perhaps advanced camera serv. can help me out, ..I saw their rates, and they seem reasonable enough..could you give us an example of a repair you had them do?..
J K , how much did you fork out for that 14-24 ?..and how does it perform ?
