Thanks - yes, a few things to think about, especially stopping down a little - or maybe swapping to my prime lens for shots like the last one - often though it is not possible to get close enough to frame the image and swapping lenses quickly enough is impossible.
It's a learning curve and your hints and suggestions are most welcome.
