I'm glad 4 billion years is beyond comprehension, but it's kind of sad to imagine the inevitable change that will eventually happen to our home

In short, our sun and planets will probably survive but human life will probably be extinct by then anyway because by then our sun will have become a red giant and become too hot for us to survive. So much for global warming... :-(
