just been reading up on the spec on the new Olympus em1x and its extremely tempting up to 60fps or 18fps with tracking , and although only a 20mp sensor it cn shoot 50mp or 80mp files out-resolving anything else on the market . I know that Andy rouse is using one to good effect at the moment ,he is in Svalbard at the moment but I will see if I can arrange a meet up when he returns . plus they are only £2500 bnib.

the other options are a Panasonic g9 or a olympus omd1-mkii most wildlife guys favour the latter though .

there is also the Nikon mirrorless z6/7 to take into account but gut instinct says they have a lot of catching up to do .

The Z7 I have is fine for landscape work as it is same as D850 (45MP) but is not as high fps as the Z6 (24MP) and also apparently the AF is better for action stuff but in fact it is the same AF unit.  IMHO the D500 is best for wildlife.  The AF spots on the D850 do not cover the whole screen which I find annoying, the Z7 covers more of the viewfinder but not the whole viewfinder like my Fuji XT2/3.
