Wondering if Eric has checked his missus camera to see if it has that horizon -alignment thing, causing the Lens to appear to be longer.
No it doesn't...or it doesn't mention it anywhere. But I think you and Chris are probably close to the explanation of what's going on. The frame grabbed files are smaller than the still files....but that doesn't explain their comparable IQ. Which is why I am confused. I was wondering if Graham had come across this issue being a life long film maker?
''I am a away for a few days so may get a chance to try the Panasonic 4K still photo mode ....to see if that is the same file size as a crop. I notice they are now offering 6k still photos and 4K videos on the latest Panasonic. Now totally confused.
