Lovely pictures of wonderful aircraft Jeff, one slight criticism... The frozen prop's, your shutter speed is a bit high? I think they look much better with some form of movement in the propellers, be-it a full spinning disk or a blurred prop, frozen isn't natural to my eyes. I remember a discussion on here many years ago about photographing cycle racing and allowing the spokes to blur, yet getting the rider and bike sharp, it isn't easy! Quote: "This was a homecoming for the lanc it was built here at hawarden .it was actually booked in to go to Liverpool overnight ,but they booked flight crew hotel in Chester so changed to hawarden" Is that the airfield behind Manor Farm (Close?)? I used to stay with my mate at the married quarters there, backing onto what is now the Broughton Airbus factory. I remember rounded hangers and perimeter track just behind his house, which actually backed onto the perimeter fence.
