My point was/is, like so many things in life, you can drift to a solution, but if you know what you want before you depart, it is easier to go straight there rather than meandering.
Brings to mind the Irishman when asked the way to a remote Irish village by a tourist, scratched his head for a minute and announced: "Well you know, If I was going there, I wouldn't be setting off from here..."
