I very nearly bought a Olympus lens ( different to the one mentioned above ) mid week but bidding went to high and retailers were similarly overpriced , yesterday I spotted one in unused condition with a lens hood ( optional extras on Olympus) for well under market price on a buy it now ,only been listed a few minutes before and grabbed it quick .. I agree Jeff. Places like eBay seem to gather silly over bidders...except when I am selling. I then seem to get the tight buggers. If people want to snipe snipe at the last minute so be it....they will invariably buy the item for more than I was prepared to pay.
