Felt really stable in my hand....just a little outbalanced with a heavy telephotos. This is why I wonder if they retained the D750 body on the D780? Interesting but using Camera Size Comparison the D780 and the D300 are almost exactly the same size. My wife has a D300 and that is too small for comfort as far as I am concerned but is fine with the MB-D10 attached. I see no reason why the D780 would be any different. Also worth considering is that Grays have the D780 at £2199 and the D850 at £2399, if I had £2000 to spend on a camera I would find the extra £200 and get the D850. The D750 is now a real bargain at under £1000 new and, with no interest in video, would suite me better I think, especially as there is the MB-D16 available.
