Not focus stacking but another of many Photoshop CC problem solvers. How do you put a new sky behind a complex subject like a winter tree (see little pix as shot with winter sky)? Using Colour Range masking and normal layer masks it take less the 5 mins to do enclose sample. There was no easy way to do this with early Photshops.
