The consumer lens can be a bit of a lottery especially with the wider zoom ratios but the pro lenses are for the most part as good as they get.
I understand that some of the long lenses have very weak feet, not at all suitable to provide a rock steady mount, which I feel is inexcusable. No good having the best glass in the world and the worst mounting.
