Well depending on the camera you prefer and the type of photography you do I would say that the Canon and Nikon range are way ahead of the rest.

That said Leica (if you can afford the inflated price tag) do produce great lenses and cameras but their 'value for money' rating has to be very low. Of course value for money is not a quality standard but a very subjective indicator.


Given a money no object stance I would probably have a Leica M9 and a full set of lenses as well as my Nikons, not to mention a Leica S2 and lenses plus of course the Hasselblad H4 with lenses and P80 back. But that would have made a significant hole in £250,000!!
