The 90 day limit only applies to tourist visas not being required - you could always apply for a longer visa if you can dream up the right reasons!
I sincerely hope that the vote leave camp end up rueing the day!
The only good thing to come out of leaving the EU is that we are not caught up in the vaccine fracas that is going on over there. I despair of getting back to Italy this year
