not done much through the summer due to the sheer amount of staycationers visiting the area . plus my own hols ..anyway the other day I had word of a mega arrival at my little local N/R  I took Robert there once .. its only 2 hides with seating for 4 in each hide and as I knew this would bring in the circuit  circus I was up and on my way at 5.30a.m for a ten mile drive only to arrive and my mate had beat me to it ..:applause: well then what was all the fuss about . a 14th sighting for Wales and a first for Flintshire of a squacco heron .. my early morning paid off well as it paraded for nearly a hour ,then disappeared into the reeds .. we now think its departed but never say never ,some of the 400+ shots I managed to get below
