I think that they should stop looking at making camera`s smaller and lighter, but instead, looking at making lenses smaller and less weighty, look at that 35 f1.8 on it compared to the 35 f1.4 ai-s which is nearly half that size,weighing less...see how BIG a 24-70 vr is,compared to the 35-70 2.8 af-D, it is a monster of a lens,..I`ve got a TAMRON 15-30 2.8 G2 which is Humongous , I feel ashamed to show myself in public with it ,...and them lenses are getting Bigger & Heavier by the day, ....a D3x with 20 f2.8 ai-s on it,carried in the hand with No bag,posed no problem going around for a whole afternoon , but the 24-70 vr / 15-30 g2 Only came out of the bag when called for,...the Problem lies with them Massive optics, make those smaller.lighter and faster please..then we can talk about innovation. I take photo`s to use my equipment The better I become at photography,the better my camera gets. |
