Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be that rapid. Although in fairness I am trying to back up Jan’s journal files which even when split into years run to 5-15gb files. She loves to imbed video files (it’s like reading a Harry Potter newspaper lol) which add up to big files.
I transfered a13gb file from the back up drive (wired) to the PC….it took 3 minutes. Using my File browser app it’s saying 2hours for same file!
Not sure if its the lightning cable or the apps transfer rate slowing things up because it’s going through the same usb port on the pc as I used for the 3min transfer from the external HD.
