As the level dropped and he/she couldn’t reach he/she grabbed the side of the cage and swung it up 2 or 3 times till it stuck horizontal on a twig so the cage was at his/her feet. A squirrel disturbed the feast and knocked the feeder back to the swinging position. When the squirrel cleared off, the Rook returned and didn’t try pecking down but immediately swung the cage up to catch on the twig again. Clever bird…..must fill the feeder now!!! Even got Collared Doves hanging off feeders. They perch one level down to reach the hole above. Can’t post the video on here but this is a screen grab… Click here to comment on this image.
