My pleasure PRSS, I would hate not mentioning it and hearing later your camera had mysteriously failed.

Not sure about this, others may know better but I think there is a screen which you can put over the flash which cuts or reduces the visible light from your on camera flash but allows the infra red through to operate the slave device. I do use a slave the little Nikon SU4, but I usually trigger it with a small wired Nikon SB16 flash which is used as a secondary flash, well off camera.





For many situations, all that's required is to drop the on camera flash to its lowest flash comp setting (-2stops?) to trigger the other flashes without flooding the scene with frontal flash.

A wedge of tissue paper also works.:-)
