A simple removal of the rear group and clean with a lens wipe saw 90% of the problem disappear - I'll pull the front group out later to finish the clean up.

That is a pukka Nikon lens. I used to have one before I swapped it for the AF version.
Fine lens, good luck with the clean and you will have a fine item.

I know who to send my lens to for a clean. :lol:
