I did keep copies of course but when customers asked about ownership I used to say …. “ You keep the negatives, you loose them, you pay me to redo them” ![]() A lot of the time I was using those photos immediately in brochures, catalogues and advertising ….so it never cropped up. In amateur status I use to put a copyright “C” mark with name and year on the corner of the photos. But they can be easily removed with software, even before AI content aware slickness.
