I do wish you hadn't said that. I have a strong emotional attachment to my D3X, but it is getting very close to being declared surplus to requirements. I can carry the D800/800E for longer with the option for DX cropping plus the D4 if I need to push things.
Actually, in real world work for me (macro mainly) the D4 is a real game-changer.
The Nikkor 200 is usable without a tripod.
Hope you guys are all above the water level.

Are you saying the noise level is better on the D4, enabling higher Iso and hence shutter speeds for handholding?
