The latest Affinity ‘suite’ is very good if you want todo drawing and page layout as well as photo editing in one package. Bizarrely an old client called in just before Christmas and pleaded with me to design a brochure for him “one last time” (only been retired 7 years”) Not having Quark Express or Pagemaker anymore I used Affinity to draft something out for him. Will be picking it up and see how seamless the preflight process is in the new year. The whole suite is still free but their AI module is an add on which you need to pay a subscription for. The suite is currently only available for desktops. iPad and tablet versions in 2026. The photo editing part is like Affinity 1 & 2. It’s reasonably intuitive but has a few annoying failings compared to Photoshop that still is my go to choice now I am back on full fat computers.
