USA doesn't have the fastest broadband in the world by a long stretch but it is becoming ubiquitous. And you can always go to a Starbucks or Apple store and use their broadband in a pinch. I really was skeptical when my wife ordered a MacBook Air - no dvd drive? Are you kidding? But that was a year ago and it hasn't been an issue yet. Worse case, i can scoot out to an Apple store and buy a super drive if the odd emergency every comes up (though I am increasing thinking that won't happen Apple doesn't consult us when the want to "lead" but so far they have made mostly good choices or changed. I have an external floppy disc drive in the basement somewhere that I kept "just in case."..... Cheers, Tom
