With Nikon raising the quality stakes all the time and with new models coming out that do the same but for less money then really waiting for a DX camera makes little sense unless you are a long telephoto user. Compare the price and specs of the D3 and D800 the D3 is still a great camera but the D800 brings a lot of extras for a lesser price. The only read difference is the build quality ofthe D3 is much more solid.
