That is exactly how I felt in 2005 when I was at BT.  It made me look at all the things that effect my life and why I did them.

This convinced me that I didnt really enjoy working for a large organisation but also I didnt enjoy working alone as a lone consultant. 
I also didnt need more money but I wanted more time to do stuff that I wanted to do and if I decided for no money or for pay then it was my decision.
This was very empowering as once you take money out of the equation then it is about doing the right thing rather than listening to the payer.
