If I were in a hurry to use mains power on a D4, I would to the following:
If the connector from any existing EH-6 unit fits the idiosyncratic EP-6 adaptor it should be fine.
This is based on the presumption: if it fits, it should do no harm.
If you have more time (and/or no EP-6): wait for Nikon to give an answer, this could save you the time trying to order the EH-6B and returningit if there is no need to have it, beside your existing EH-6 unit.
